Our Park Cleaning Team are right at the heart of everything we do.  They are the ‘face’ of Flamingo Land.  A typical day with the Team after you have been allocated your section includes:
  • Take all necessary required supplies and place on your cart
  • Clean & stock up toilet facilities (male & female toilets)
  • Monitor stocks & order supplies for toilet store rooms
  • Report any damage, leaks or faults to your line manager
  • Litter pick using PPE provided and place all rubbish into the correct bins on your cart
  • Empty all main rubbish bins, tighten and secure bags ready for collection and replace with new bags
  • Observe all H&S requirements
  • Assist park managers and admissions with the safe organised parking of cars on arrival
  • Help and assist our Guests with queries
Hours Most of our seasonal roles are available on a full time and part time basis. Typically a full time role is up to 40 hours a week, our part time roles are often 16 to 24 hours a week in term times increasing during university, college and school holidays.  Our busiest trading days are weekends, holidays and bank holidays therefore it is to be expected we will need our Team to be available to ensure our Guests have the experience they deserve. Transport We provide on site free parking. There are good local bus links into Malton, York, Pickering & Thornton Dale provided by Coastliner. The Tees Valley bus will have stops at Stockton, Middlesbrough, Grangetown, Redcar, Saltburn, Brotton, Skelton & Guisborough. Accommodation There is a good range of local accommodation providers within our immediate vicinity. Flamingo Land does not provide any onsite staff accommodation. Interviews Interviews for the new season will begin in February 2025.  You will be contacted by our friendly Recruitment Team who will conduct an initial telephone chat with you and if successful, you will be invited to attend a face to face interview with one of our Department Managers. Interviews are typically 30 minutes and you will be asked a few competency based questions. If all goes well, you will join us  for two days of induction, where we will get you Resort Ready! Induction days are fun filled, full of facts about the Resort and will prepare you to work at the Resort. We’re committed to the development of our employees and love being the place where many choose to start their working life.  Many of our Senior Managers joined us in entry roles and have developed long term careers within the business.   At Flamingo Land, we cross train our Team Members across many areas of the resort.  This will broaden your skill base and provide the chance to enhance your career development.  By gaining experience in our various departments, you will expand your knowledge, increase versatility and this will empower you to grow both personally and professionally. Roles will begin in March and run through until 2 November 2025.
